Alex Adams, Roisin Lynch, Jacki Ball, Pip Shields and Tara Green put on a great performance for the recent Vintage Car Club dinner in Wagin.DUMBLEYUNG Theatre Club girls once again put on a great display of dancing and poise at the annual Vintage Car Club dinner in Wagin over the long weekend.
Choreographed by Tara Green, the four dancers – Alex Adams, Roisin Lynch, Pip Shields and Tara Green – performed an interpretive dance to Tracy Chapman’s song Fast Car.
With the dancers dressed in black, using only blue umbrellas as a stage prop, the dance was mesmerising.
It was preceded by poetry, with a poem read by Green, followed by each of the girls reading a verse of another poem – all in the theme of cars and driving.
The performance concluded with Jacki Ball reading the Tom Cochrane song Life is a Highway as an adapted poem.
This is the third year the dancers have performed at the dinner and they are always a popular item on the night’s entertainment schedule.
