MEMBER for Wagin Terry Waldron is encouraging community members to nominate an individual, business, group or organisation that is making a difference in the community in this year’s Regional Achievement and Community Awards.
“The awards aim to pay tribute to regional Western Australians who are the pillars of our communities,” Mr Waldron said.
“Where would we be without those who contribute so much to making our community a better place to live?
“Our community contributors deserve acknowledgement and recognition and I encourage everyone to consider nominating someone.”
Nominations are open in the categories of Curtin University Teaching Excellence Awards; Landcorp Sustainability Award; Department of Indigenous Affairs Indigenous Service Award; Prime Super Community Group of the Year Award; CSBP Environment Award; Horizon Power Leadership and Innovation Award; Rinehart Family Volunteering Award; Country Housing Authority Primary Producer of the Year Award; and Perth Airports Events and Tourism Award.
One of the nine categories will also be selected as the Department of Regional Development and Lands Regional Achievement and Community Award State Winner.
