THE fourth qualifying round at the Wagin Golf Course was played on Saturday with 27 players attending for the Beaurepairs-sponsored event.
When the sun finally came out it turned into perfect golf weather and some excellent scores were recorded.
A-grade was a fierce contest with Brent Barker winning with a nett 66.
Second was a three-way countback with Arnold Bosenberg taking the honours from Garth Nottle and Phil Sprigg, all with nett 68.
B-grade was won by David Hoystead, coming in with a very respectable score of 63 nett.
Second place went to the consistent Bob Stephens with a nett 65.
Nearest the pins were won by Brian Patterson (third), Geoff Cheriton (eighth), Warren Holt (11th) and Reece Taylor (16th).
Thursday scroungers saw Geoff Cheriton win the day on a countback with Bob Stephens taking second and Paul Powell narrowly missing out, all on 20 points.
Next Saturday will be the Patron’s day and a draw for partners and the Narrogin Cup will be held over that weekend.
