WAGIN District High School (WDHS) has been selected to participate in the You Can fundraising campaign, which aims to raise much needed funds for Australian teenagers battling cancer.
Created by CanTeen and the Sony Foundation, You Can involves the collection of unwanted mobile phones.
In return the school will be rewarded with exciting educational tools including interactive whiteboards, laptops and video cameras.
Young Australians with cancer are a considered a forgotten generation, falling through the gaps of the medical system.
You Can aims to create specialised and age-appropriate cancer centres and services for 15-30-year-olds, to help give this age group the best possible chance of survival.
To get on board and help WDHS reach their phone target, they need people’s help.
Old phones can be sent to school with children or placed in the collection bin in the WDHS foyer.
